The British Academy Film Awards, abbreviated BAFTA, were presented to their rightful owners in London. Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton also attended the ceremony, which was hosted by Alison Hammond and Richard E. Grant. Austin Butler won Best Actor and Cate Blanchett won Best Actress at the BAFTAs, where the German production 'All Quiet on the Western Front' was named Best Film. Here are the 2023 BAFTA Award winners.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards recipients for this year have been revealed. The winners of the BAFTA Awards, which were held for the 76th time this year, were announced at a ceremony held at the Royal Festival Hall in London, England's capital.

Aside from Alison Hammond and Richard E. Grant, Prince William of Wales and Princess of Wales Kate Middleton attended the ceremony.

At the BAFTAs, Austin Butler won Best Actor and Cate Blanchett won Best Actress, while the German production 'All Quiet on the Western Front' was nominated in 14 categories and received the most nominations.

All Quiet on the Western Front received five BAFTAs, while The Banshees of Inisherin and Elvis films each received four.

EARTHQUAKE NOT FORGOTTEN

At the ceremony, some artists wore blue ribbons in memory of those who lost their lives in the earthquakes in Kahramanmaras.

Charlotte Wells, the screenwriter and director of the movie Aftersun (After the Sun), shot in Turkey, thanked the Turkish team in the movie in her speech while receiving the Best Breakthrough Artist award. "I don't think there was anyone who wasn't affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria," Wells said.

BLUE RIBBONS FOR REMEMBERANCE

Paul Mescal, the leading actor of the movie Aftersun, and Cate Blanchett, who received the Best Actress Award, also attended the night with a blue ribbon.

Director Edward Berger, actors Colin Farrell, Jamie Lee Curtis and Angela Bassett were among the names who wore the blue ribbon.

Prince William, who has presided over the BAFTA ceremonies since 2010, was one of the most striking names of the night with his wife Princess Kate. Kate Middleton walked the red carpet in a British designer McQueen dress.
