The outfit was created by McCartney using BioSequins and was produced to order at the company's London facility. Cara Delevingne, a model and campaigner, displayed the item.

McCartney remarked, "I was astounded by BioSequin's breathtaking beauty, which is derived from plants, non-toxic, and even more beautiful than conventional choices. Who says environmental issues can't be hot?" she describes her emotions.

"It's so special to see how Stella McCartney worked to bring BioSequin to life with the beautiful jumpsuit." “We loved its uncompromising approach to sustainability and aesthetics, which is reflected in every decision, right down to the choice of fabric and yarn,” adds Elissa Brunatto, founder of Radiant Matter.

Looking at how the fashion business affects the already prevalent plastic problem in the globe led to the development of the technique. Each New Year's season, 33 million sequined clothes are purchased by British women, yet 1.7 million of those garments end up in landfills after being worn only five times, according to Oxfam. According to research, synthetic clothing is the source of 35% of the microplastics that are currently polluting the oceans across the World.

Although McCartney's BioSequin garment is not currently available in stores, its debut is a minor step towards making sustainable production techniques widely accessible and alters the way we view fashion and its effects.
